In today’s world, it is little wonder we develop injuries. Man did not reach the top of the food chain by sitting at his computer screen for eight hours per day and eating processed foods
It is not only sports people who incur sudden impact/trauma injuries. Slipping over the curb, car accidents and back pain from sitting and twisting at your desk can all be sudden and debilitating. Once injury is medically diagnosed, a PT Health Specialist can help you work through the rehabilitation process to get you back up to full fitness through progressive and individualised exercise and massage therapy.
If your injury is a degenerative injury, you may be unaware how you became’ injured in the first place. A PT Health Specialist will be able to assess your posture, work station, exercise programme and movement ‘habits’to identify the root cause of your injury and then coach you to improve your posture, core stability and general movement patterns to alleviate your painful symptoms and dramatically reduce the likelihood of reoccurring injury.
We will NOT provide you with a drug to make the symptoms go away. We will not promote surgery at the first opportunity of asking, and we will not offer you quick fixes that give you temporary relief. What we WILL do is identify the problem and correct it, for good. Through comprehensive assessment, specific, effective exercise programme, and an understanding of your injury, PT-Health Specialists will provide you with the solution for a happier, healthier, pain free life.

- Your posture is the foundation of your programme. Training with sub-optimal posture is an injury waiting to happen! Fix your posture and injuries will be less frequent.
- Regular sports massage will help improve posture and release tight restricted muscles. This will help to lose weight, tone muscle and play better on the pitch.
- Never do the same training programme for more than 6-8 weeks if you are a beginner and 3-6 weeks if you are more advanced.
- Regular sit ups cause poor posture and only develop the upper half of your ‘six pack, leading to neck and back pain.
- For guys wanting to build a bigger chest, train your back! Rounded shoulders and a hunch-backdo not look good. Working the muscles of the back will straighten up the back and pull the shoulders together – both will help to give the appearance of a bigger chest, as well as a healthy back.
- For the ladies trying to tone their hips and bum – please get off those awful ‘inner’ and ‘outer’ thigh machines. They DO NOT WORK and can cause injury, from sciatica to low back pain. If posture is generally good, your thighs will tone significantly from performing squat, lunge and dead-lift variations.

client testimonial
"When I first started with Kevin I had problems with my left knee. It ached when I walked up the stairs, danced and prevented me from running. Now I am up and running again, my body has toned up significantly and due to Kevin’s excellent explanation of various ways of exercising, I now understand how to train more effectively both now and in the future." |
